Crystal Tokyo Met Gala - Usagi Tsukino

Crystal Tokyo Met Gala (crystaltokyometgala.tumblr.com) is a little fandom project where everyone is encourage to create "high fashion" looks for a Sailor Moon character under the guise of it being for the annual Crystal Tokyo Met Gala. 2021 theme is Dreams and Eternity.

Since I started this project, I'm determined to draw at least all main characters in a look to match the theme.

Usagi is matched with the theme of Eternity by turning her prototype Sailor Moon outfit, one of the first sketches Naoko made when creating the series, into a gown. Usagi has become an eternal icon internationally and I thought it fitting to give her an outfit based on where it may have allegedly started. It's also inspired by the recent wedding dress line.
