Crystal Tokyo Met Gala - Mamoru Chiba

Crystal Tokyo Met Gala (crystaltokyometgala.tumblr.com…) is a little fandom project where everyone is encourage to create "high fashion" looks for a Sailor Moon character under the guise of it being for the annual Crystal Tokyo Met Gala. 2021 theme is Dreams and Eternity.

Since I started this project, I'm determined to draw at least all main characters in a look to match the theme.

Mamoru is also the theme of Eternity, but this time he is dressed in a Sailor Cosmos inspired tuxedo. Cosmos being the final form of Sailor Moon and signifying Usagi's eternal impact in universe, I wanted to give Mamoru a matching outfit. His stripes are based on the Shitennou with the wing and starburst motif coming directly from Cosmos.
