Crystal Tokyo Met Gala - Ami Mizuno

crystaltokyometgala is a little fandom project where everyone is encourage to create “high fashion” looks for a Sailor Moon character under the guise of it being for the annual Crystal Tokyo Met Gala. 2021 theme is Dreams and Eternity.

Since I started this project, I’m determined to draw at least all main characters in a look to match the theme.

Ami’s dream is to be a doctor and I puzzled for a while if I could draw a fashionable and stylized doctor’s coat with scrubs. I’m not sure I pulled it off, but that was the idea behind this design, with the scrubs becoming a flowing romper and the coat given more length and fabric with structured shoulders and lapel.
