Crystal Tokyo Met Gala - Makoto Kino

crystaltokyometgala is a little fandom project where everyone is encourage to create “high fashion” looks for a Sailor Moon character under the guise of it being for the annual Crystal Tokyo Met Gala. 2021 theme is Dreams and Eternity.

Since I started this project, I’m determined to draw at least all main characters in a look to match the theme.

This may be super costumey and on the nose, but, aren’t those some of the best outfits at the gala? Collectively we often attribute Makoto’s future aspirations as owning a flower shop, bakery, and/or cafe, as well as having a large family. I decided to merge the dream of being a baker with a wedding cake, as well as her rose motif.
